The following guide will show you how to disable IPv6 on your Windows computer, this guide should only be followed if you have been directed to by your IT Department.



Open Control Center by typing "Control Center" In the search box in the lower left corner of your screen.
Click on the blue text that says "View Network status and tasks"
On the left panel, click on the blue text that says "Change adapter settings"
Right Click on Ethernet

NOTE: Some computers may only have Ethernet, and some may only have WiFi, if your computer does not have one of these, skip it.
In the right click menu, Select "Properties"
De-select the check mark to the left of "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6).
Close the window by pressing "OK"
DO NOT Press the X in the upper right corner, this will not save the settings.
Right click on Wi-Fi, select "Properties"
De-select the check mark to the left of "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6).
Close the window by pressing "OK"
DO NOT Press the X in the upper right corner, this will not save the settings.

IPv6 is now turned off on your computer, check with your IT Department to see if you need to complete further steps.
